This week, we are celebrating Little Way Week when children are encouraged to do small acts of kindness for others, following in the example of St Therese of Lisieux, whose feast day is on Thursday 1st October. St Therese chose to offer each moment of her day - especially the small, ordinary and even boring tasks - with love, joy and generosity. Whether it was washing up, doing chores or showing kindness to someone who was unkind, she did it all without complaint and with a loving heart, This became her 'Little Way'. Although it sounds simple, living the Little Way can be a real challenge. It calls us to be patient, humble and loving in all circumstances - especially when it's hard. But St Therese reminds us that by doing the little things with great love, each of us can become a saint and make a real difference in the world.
