Year 6 Be the Change!
Year 6 had a great day at Lancaster University las week - here you can see all the amazing activities they got up to as part of the 'Be the Change Day'
Year 6 Soup-making soup-er session!
Year 6 got cooking on gas this week as they peeled, chopped, sliced, diced and cubed their way to making the most soup-tastic soup for DT!
They learnt lots of great practical skills and their finished product was so tasty!
Year 6 Bikeability 2025
Year 6 were working hard this week as they saddled up and headed out onto the roads and cycle paths around the school. They learnt all about being safe and being seen on our streets and roads! And they had a great time doing it!
Year 6 Soup-tastic Tasting!
Year 6 enjoyed their soup tasting lesson as part of their preparations for DT cooking this half-term.
We were cosy, warm and delicious! Just the ticket against the cold and wet of this week's weather!

Year 6 have been thinking about what to do when you phone 999 - we even practiced by using Mr Hodder's home phone!
We will remember
Year 5 & 6 walked up to join other local schools for Remembrance Day at Miss Whalley's Field.
They represented Cathedral perfectly and marked the sombre occasion well.
Y6 Animal Adaptations Exhibitions
Year 6 celebrated a fantastic Animal Adaptation exhibition this week!

Year 5 were just as impressed - well done Year 6!
Y6 Zoo Trip
Year 6 had an amazing time in the bright sunshine of Blackpool as they visited the zoo as part of their Science work on Adaptation. As you can see, we had an interesting time and learnt how each of these marvelous animals have changed over time to best suit their environment.

What an amazing time Year 6 had this week, enjoying a whole morning of coding, building, refining and improving their Lego robot designs!
Year 6 Tropic of Cancer
Year 6 hit the atlases this week in an attempt to track down just how many countries the Tropics of Cancer and Capricorn pass through on the globe.
Do you know? (Hint: there are 17 countries for the Tropic of Cancer and 10 for the Tropic of Capricorn!)
