Toy Day
On Tuesday this week, we held a Toy Day. We spent time talking about our toys, playing with toys and completing activities linked to them. This experience will be used to support our writing over the next week.
Year 6 learn about Buddhism
Year 6 enjoyed a visit from our friend Paul Taylor, who introduced to his faith of Buddhism this week.
We loved listening all about Paul's faith and learning about the different elements of Buddhism.
Father’s Day in Year 3
We’ve had a great afternoon with dads and grandads in year 3 playing football and tennis outside!
Y5 Father’s Day 2026
We enjoyed having our dads and grandads in class today. We were showing them how to use computer aided design on Purple Mash.
Refugee Week in Year 4
Year 4 have been reflecting on the teachings of Jesus in Matthew's Gospel as part of their Refugee Week learning. We have thought about how we can make refugees feel welcome in our school and community. Here are some of the posters we have made to show our learning.
Year 6 Circuit-makers!
Year 6 were in a positive mood in Science, switched on and wired to go!
They explored how to make a range of circuits and how each component affected the others-an electrifying experience!
Y5 Summer Projects
We handed in our summer homework projects today. There was a massive variety, including the Amazon Rain Forest, South American countries and Berwick Hall. We enjoyed looking at each other’s projects.
Animal Orchestra
What a great afternoon we had going to Ashton Hall watching an Orchestra playing different instruments pretending to be different animals. We all enjoyed it!

What a busy time Year 6 are having in their last half-term!
There's transition work, transition days, catch-up swimming, Refugee Week, microbit computers, History & Geography fieldwork, HRE and electronic art...and that was just Thursday!

Year 4 Concert Preparation

Inspired Poetry
We have been reading George’s Secret Key to the Universe by Lucy and Stephen Hawking. We enjoyed the book so much that we were actually sad when we finished it! This poem was inspired by the story.
Fun research in Year 2
We looked at a range of different leaflets today. The children loved looking at the pictures, different writing and all the bold colours used. All children used leaflets as inspiration for their own. There was a fabulous buzz in the classroom today.
