This half term, our Art unit is all about digital art. Today we explored photography. We took our iPads to the great outdoors to take some photos of things that interest us. Here are a selection of photos that we took in the afternoon sunshine!

We had another great lesson with Beth our ukulele teacher today. There were lots of smiles and happy music making. Beth says we are doing really well!

Today, Year 4 began a series of singing lessons led by professional singer, Stuart Bell, in preparation for a concert in Lancaster Town Hall in June.  It was wonderful to see and hear the children singing so joyfully and enthusiastically. We sang Lean on Me and Sky Full of Stars. 

The children in Year 4 had a wonderful time, learning to ride bikes, today. It was fantastic to see their resilience and positive attitude to having a go, particularly those children who have not tried to ride a bike before! Well done, Year 4!

Year 6 have been hard at work this final week - making their wonderful Easter cards and hand sewing their design for a fabric book sleeve from their DT plans.

They are both brilliant! Well done everyone!

Year 2 have been working on riddle reading and riddle writing. It has been fabulous. The children worked with partners to write riddles for the rest of the class to read and guess the answer. Lots of laughter and joy has filled the classroom during our English lessons this week. Next step is to…

Year 3 have enjoyed a day of Bikeability - All of them tried so hard through rain and shine. We had a great day!!

This morning we went to visit Year 1! They told us about fruit kebabs. They told us the instructions of how to make them. We would like to have  a go at following their instructions to see if they make sense.

Well done to these generous-hearted boys who gave up part of their weekend to tidy people's gardens to raise money for CAFOD. What a wonderful thing to do - we are proud of you!

Year 2 have been writing their very own chapters for Wind in the Willows. Today they re read, edited and added the end of their chapters. It’s great to see the excitement and confidence in their own writing. Well done year 2, great work!
