Pencil Personification in Year 4

Year 4 enjoyed their visit from the author, Sean Perkins, today. He helped us to see classroom objects as characters with their own personalities and the children developed their own ideas from this to create characters for pencils, rulers, glue sticks and even the whiteboard!

We're buzzing in Year 4!

Today, we started to make our buzz wire games. We used clay for the base then children enjoyed creating their buzz wire design to challenge their friends. Next lesson, we will add the electrical circuits.

Year 4 Dancing

Today, Year 4 learnt to do a country dance . This involved circling left and right, star turns, 'dosey doe' and a promenade walk around the room. It was great to see everyone having fun and working together to complete their sequence of moves in time with the music. Well done, Year 4!

Year 4 Electricity Circuits

Wonderful Christmas Time

Year 4 March of the Golden Guards

Year 4 have been learning to play a melody called 'March of the Golden Guards' on glockenspiels. They have also used given notes to improvise their own melodies with a backing track. The result was very musical - albeit noisy! Well done, Year 4!

Year 4 Visit Lancaster City Museum

Today, Year 4 enjoyed a visit to Lancaster City Museum to support their learning about the Romans. They investigated the purpose of different artefacts from Romans times and learnt about the presence of the Romans in Lancaster for 400 years.
